An autobiography written by a local city man’s life titled “Skeletons from my Closet” tells a steamy story about several people who have had an impact on his life. He adds a special”R.I.P.” Acknowledgement listing the people by their initials. A local tabloid “The Midnight Tattler of Kansas City” in an interview with the author discovers that some of the characters of this novel have died under questionable circumstances and the last few on the list are from Kansas City. The Tattler suggests that the R.I.P. list is actually a hit list of revenge by the author and five more will die. The book as well as the Tabloid’s circulation goes crazy. Is this a Hit List by the author or perhaps a vicious advertising scam to increase sales of the Midnight Tattler of Kansas City? A retired cop turned Professional Investigator is hired by an up and coming political contender for Attorney General whose name happens to appear in the book and on the list. If the Hit List scenario is right, his name is near the top followed by other influential people in the city. The goal is to discover the truth and stop the murders.
